Project Description

Our client is a world-leading provider of transport solutions, driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system and creating a world of mobility that benefits business, society, and the environment.

The team you will join collects data from all connected vehicles and aggregates it to help drivers evaluate their own driving behaviors and skills.


The Role Involves

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data solutions that drive business value.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining analytical data solutions using Snowflake, in collaboration with data analysts and data scientists.
  • Designing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability within a data mesh architecture.


Technical Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Extensive experience with data modeling techniques, including data warehousing, data lakes, data lakehouses, medallion architecture, and data mesh.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for developing data processing pipelines.
  • Experience analyzing data using complex SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of query optimization, query execution plans, indexes, data distribution, and partitioning.
  • Experience developing and maintaining data analytics solutions using Snowflake (preferred), Redshift, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience working with Delta and Iceberg tables.
  • Good understanding of AWS services such as S3, RDS, IAM, and Networking.
  • Experience with DBT for data transformation, modeling, and validation.
  • Familiarity with using Airflow for scheduling and monitoring data loads.
