Construction Junior Cost Engineer
About this role
We are seeking a dedicated Cost Engineer to provide a wide range of technical and administrative support services across various levels within our organization. Reporting to the Senior Cost Manager, the successful candidate will be involved in each task to gain comprehensive knowledge of our construction activities, with the goal of advancing to a senior level within a maximum of two years.
Responsibilities
- Tender Preparation: Develop tender documents as required by the Project Team.
- Tender Analysis: Analyze tenders and prepare detailed tender reports at all stages of procurement.
- Bill of Quantities: Prepare and adjust the bill of quantities and re-measure as necessary to account for variations.
- Dispute Assistance: Assist in settling construction disputes and managing loss and expense claims.
- Payment Certification: Prepare payment certificates for various subcontractors.
- Financial Reporting: Support the Senior Cost Manager in preparing various financial reports.
- Final Accounts: Prepare and agree on final accounts.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as reasonably required by the Senior Cost Manager.
- Coordination: Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities with the Senior Cost Manager to meet deliverable timetables.
- Travel: Business trips may be required.

Required Knowledge and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Deadline Management: Ability to respect deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
